If you are going to the Flower Show this weekend, remember to vote for Ysgol Y Wern’s wheelbarrow. Look out for the wheelbarrow which members of the school’s Gardening Club have created, based on Roald Dahl’s theme and the book ‘James and the Giant Peach’.

Congratulations to the school’s athletics team who were crowned champions in a recent competition for Cardiff Primary Schools.
Team – Catrin Llywelyn, Ellie-Rose Isaac, Elina Dineen, Jessica Taylor, Evan Hughes, Ifan Roberts-Jones, Ifan Cox and Tomos Meek.
Enterprise Champions

Congratulations to the ‘Cymru Iach’ company (Alice Irving, Elina Dineen, Gethin Price and Osian Davies) who were successful in a recent competition for enterprise teams. The main objective of the ‘i-Cans £10 Challenge’ was to start a new business and to make as much profit as possible starting with only £10 in 3 weeks. Over the 3 weeks the company made £1171.21 profit which was the largest profit out of the 18 school teams competing. They also won the first prize for their presentation in front of a panel of judges. Quite an achievement!
