Rhys represented Wales in a chess tournament for under 12s last Saturday playing against South East England. He then competed as the main player for the under 10s against South East England on the Sunday! Well done Rhys!

After playing 2 more rounds in each separate chess club before half-term, the top two from each day will then contest the overall Semi-Finals after half-term.

Animation Competition- Urdd Eisteddfod

Congratulations to Rhys Matthews. His animation, ‘Pengwiniaid’, came third in the Urdd Animation competition for Cardiff.

Digital Wizards- Design a Character Competition

To celebrate the appointment of our Digital Wizards, the school is running a competition for Years 2 to 6 to design a character to represent digital responsibilities / work in school.

Digital Wizards are pupils in each class from Year 2 to Year 4 who will help support the use of digital equipment in the class.

You can use any digital graphics package, or create a picture on paper and email the picture as a usable photo or create a picture on paper and scan then e-mail your image.

Your image will have to be sent electronically via e-mail, by using a cd-rom or a memory stick.

E-mail Type ‘Dewiniaid Competition’ in the subject box.

Alternatively send your cd-rom or USB memory stick to Mrs Williams, Dosbarth Derbyn, Mr John, Yr.5 or Mr Wason Yr.4.
